Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero

The Joy of The Throw

Target practice. Teambuilding. Expeditious transport. Threat elimination. What do all these things have in common? They can, of course, all be achieved through the power of THROWING THINGS. Everyone talks about the art of the catch, but little do they think of its underappreciated twin, The Joy Of The Throw. Well we think it's about time we rectify this, and give The Joy of the Throw some TLC (throwing lobbing careening-into-the-air). Use this time to make the case for why ground to air relations should soar to an all-time high. Use throwing daggers to make art, toss hamsters at folks that need a pick me up or feed the world by blasting calzone into hungry mouths. The world is your oyster, as that oyster blasts through the skies at Mach 8 as part of the hit new sport, oysterball!

Bonus points for
- Team with the cutest in game mascot
- Team with most satisfying throwing mechanic
- Team with biggest surprise

The winning team gets £25 per person.

Judging Criteria

  • Creativity
We want to see hacks that truly blow our minds by doing something or using something in ways no one has ever thought to do!
  • Functionality
The more features and extensive your hack is, the better, and bonus points if any of it actually works too!
  • Learning
Hackathons are about learning as much as they are creating awesome hacks. If your hack shows that your team learnt more than anyone else, that puts you in a great position!
